The animal population at our new facility has increased greatly due to a large number of stray pets, the animal control program, and as citizens become more educated about the Humane Society's role in animal welfare.

Our new facility offers the best care and housing possible for the animals in Portage County, but with the new, larger facility comes higher costs in some areas. We hope that we can enjoy your continued support, while creating a new base of support through our mission, goals, and educational programs. Please browse our website for more information on the Humane Society of Portage County or stop in to see us. Visitors and volunteers and always welcome as it is your facility in Portage County.

We look forward to seeing you at upcoming events.

Needed: Large or extra large dog carriers.

During the summer months, we are often faced with overpopulation (even in our new larger facility). Sometimes we will have to house cats or dogs in large dog carriers. Your donations of large or extra large dog carriers will be most appreciated.
