- Celebrate the new year with the Humane Society of Portage County! Join us at the Polar Plunge for Pets on Thursday, January 1, 2009 at Rusty's Backwater Saloon. Pledge forms are available at the Humane Society; if you or someone you know would like to take the icy plunge, simply pick up a form, gather pledges for your jump, then join us at 12:00 noon at Rusty's. Live music, food and beverage will also be part of this New Year's Day celebration. For more information, contact us at 344-6012.
- Are you looking for a fantastic holiday gift? Give your favorite animal lover tickets to Wags to Wishes, a gala event to benefit the Humane Society of Portage County. This "black tie optional" event will be held on Saturday, February 21 at the Stevens Point Country Club - cocktails, hors' deuvres, dinner, , music and dancing will all be part of the fun. Complete your holiday shopping and support our homeless friends in the process. Tickets are $65.00 per person and may be purchased at the Humane Society or by calling 344-6012.

· Clorox Clean-Up and Jungle Jake cleaners
· Paper towels, toilet paper
· Wood Pellets (we use these for cat litter – Lowe’s or Wal-Mart)
